This building has been designed bespoke for Lyceum Elst in order to enable the school to realise their ambitious teaching program. At the heart of the school an open space has been created where all the general activities take place. Additionally, on each floor, an open teaching landscape has been placed right next to the big open space. More focus-requiring classes are given in closed off classrooms, positioned around the central space. This layout gives the school an extremely clear floorpan with no dead ends, and allows the observer a glimpse of the whole school from any given spot. Architect: LIAG Architecten.
