This, once dilapidated, town-house in The Hague has been completely renovated with great attention to the original ornamentation and detail. We have extended the house at the back and combined all the rooms on the ground floor to create a beautiful space for a living-room, a dining-room and an open kitchen. Additionally, the back wall has been replaced with a full height, slim, aluminium framed glass facade to bring plenty of natural light into the house. Another part of the project was a new layout and interior design for the upper floor, where new bedrooms and a bathroom have been arranged. In the entire house, we looked for contrast between newly added, modern elements and the existing ornamentation to achieve a subtle combination of modern and classic elements.
