Santa Rita Geriatric Center

About this project

The design for the Santa Rita Geriatric Center had a specific vision; creating a space that would in no way resemble a hospital.

This has been implemented in an organic way, the patients' rooms are situated on the ground floor around a beautiful garden. From which the rooms also have access, but are also accessible from the common space that surrounds the rooms. Important goals of the concept were to ensure accessibility, as well as a sense of physical autonomy for patients and staff. In addition, it was essential that security was guaranteed for them, as well as a sense of privacy, and to facilitate access by visitors.

This flowing and organic design comes from Manuel Ocaña.
